Linhope Spout, Northumberland

The Linhope Spout is a beautiful spot straight out of a fairy tale with its dark gloomy plunge pool, awesome waterfall and surrounding countryside.

This magical location is perfect to enjoy a picnic as you take in the magnificence of the waterfall, which falls 18 metres into the small pool below. From the pool the River Breamish flows on to Ingram Valley.

If you enjoy long walks park your car at the Ingram Valley car park next to public toilets and visitor centre. This will take approximately 1.5 hours each way at an easy pace.

For those wanting to get closer to the fall you and don’t want such a long walk there is parking located at Hartside Farm approximately 1.5 miles away from the Linhope Spout.
