Druridge Bay Beach

A place that is a total pleasure to visit, Druridge Bay is a seven-mile stretch of sandy beach from the south of the town to Cresswell. Aside from a beach, this particular place situated on Northumberland Coast also has its own dunes where you can have fun, play, and explore the amazing coastal area of natural beauty.

Another notable spot within the Druridge Bay Country Park is the Ladyburn Lake. It is a 100-acre reserve that is surrounded by lush meadows and woodland. Taking a walk through the surrounding paths of the Ladyburn Lake is truly a worthwhile experience and can lift any stresses you have by the relaxing hues of greenery and the sparkling water of the lake.

Dunes are not the only place to see when visiting Drudge Bay as they also have various wildlife sanctuaries within the area that you can enjoy and see for yourselves. Water sports activities are also very popular at Druridge Bay with enthusiasts being drawn into trying different water activities in Ladyburn Lake including canoeing and sailing.

Along the Druridge stretch you will also find great places to grab a bite or enjoy an ice cream. For great ice cream visit Cresswell Ices and for a coffee and cake be sure to check out the Drift Cafe both located at the Creswell side of Druridge bay.
