Things to do in Bedlington, Northumberland

Located in the South East of Northumberland, Bedlington is a town in Northumberland near to Ashington, Morpeth and Blyth. Bedlington is known for giving its name to a popular dog breed – the Bedlington Terrier.

Bedlington, Northumberland has a weekly market held on a Thursday where many stalls can be found selling all kinds of items.

There are many pubs located in the Bedlington area the most prominent being the Red Lion at the end of Front Street selling a good selection of beverages and serving food daily.

Not far away from Bedlington, you will find Plessey Woods Country Park. Plessey Woods is located on the north side of the river Blyth and offers visitors plenty of gorgeous Northumbrian wooded areas to explore; a park for children and a canteen for food and drinks.

Other places to visit are Gallagher Park and if you are into golf Bedlington Golf Course.
